Avant Garde sources products from around the world, many of which are handcrafted by expert artisans. As such, many of our pieces are not always “In Stock” and must be specially ordered from our factory. The approximate lead time for the pieces that are not “In Stock” are approx 6-8 weeks.
PREORDER/BACKORDER
When ordering a Preorder, Backorder or Custom item this makes you bound by the Terms and Conditions of the Preorder, Backorder sale. All Preorder items are considered final once order is received. Once your order is received Preorder or Backorder items can take APPROX 6-8 weeks manufacturing time with 25 day delivery time for container shipment to arrive in our ports and could be held for longer periods up to 8-10 weeks for Australian custom clearances and port handling times, inclement weather, strikes and other issues that may arise which are out of our control. We do not accept order cancellations due to extended lead times, extended delivery times or shipping delays which are beyond our control. Any delivery charges are due prior to dispatch of goods if unpaid. The customer is aware that they are receiving a discount to accept part or all of the of the risk in the purchase.
PREORDER POLICY TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- Payment Terms: Preorder payment terms is 70% Deposit.
- Payment Requirement: Full payment is mandatory prior to the release of Preorder items.
- Transaction Finality: All Preorder/Made-to-order transactions are considered final.
- Manufacturing Time: The factory lead time for Preorder products is Approx. 6-8 weeks.
- Delivery time: Container shipping time is approx. 25 days.

PREORDER CANCELLATIONS
Preorders cannot be cancelled without forfeiting their payment. Please contact us within 3 days to cancel order. We cannot cancel any Pre order after the 3 day cancellation period. Please contact our Avant Garde Sales Team at sales@avantgardefurniture.com.au
- All Preorders are treated as custom orders, and cancelling a Preorder results in the forfeiture of all funds paid, including both the full order amount and the deposit.
- Preorders can be placed on our website. By completing the preorder payment, the customer agrees to the Terms and Conditions outlined on this page and other relevant T&C pages.
WAREHOUSE DISPATCH
- Subsequently, you will receive an update notifying you that your items are in our warehouse and ready for dispatch.
- For those who opted for local pickup, this email will confirm that your items are ready for collection.
- If shipping is chosen, and for larger items, our team will contact you to organise a smooth delivery process.
ORDER FULLFILLMENT
Once your items have been either collected or shipped a final confirmation will be sent, indicating that the order has been successfully fulfilled.
STORAGE FEES
As a growing business with limited storage capacity, we are unable to provide indefinite storage for your Preordered items. Unless alternative arrangements are made prior to ordering, we will retain items for a maximum of 30 days from the date of arrival in our warehouse before implementing storage charges.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
