RETURN POLICY
Avant Garde holds very high standards for all pieces across our range. We source products from around the world, many of which are handcrafted by expert artisans. These products may exhibit variations in finish that reinforce their handcrafted and unique nature.
Should a piece arrive in an unacceptable condition, please note the damage on the Avant Garde delivery document provided by our delivery specialists. Please also send an email to concierge@avantgardefurniture.com.au.
Your email should include the following information so that we can promptly resolve the issues:

- Yours or your customer’s name
- The sales invoice / delivery document number
- Your own photographs of the damage from close up and from a distance to indicate perspective.
PLEASE NOTE: Avant Garde deliveries are made by a third party contractor. The delivery drivers may take their own photographs but these are for their own records and are not always easily accessible to the our team. We will then be in touch with you directly to facilitate a swift and satisfactory solution.

REFUND POLICY
The item must be in undamaged in original condition and in the original packaging before item can be return for a refund. If you wish to Return your order for any reason there is a 20% Restocking and Storage Fee. You must contact us within 15 days of purchase. The customer is responsible for any return shipping cost to our warehouse.
If the item cannot be repacked in the original packaging we cannot accept return or approve the return item. Original shipping cost will not be refunded as part of any refund or return request. If the Return Shipping to our warehouse is arranged by Avant Garde Team the additional shipping cost to return your order to our warehouse will be deducted from the Refund amount.
Please note: Please make sure to check the product size, colour or finish with our Sales Team before placing your order as we do not take responsibility for incorrect purchase by customer. Non-Returnable items Excluded from all Returns include:
- Trade Orders
- Preorder items
- Sale items or Clearance items
- Products described as “Custom” or Made to order”.’
- Items with customised fabrics or finishes.
- Textiles, Mattresses, bedding, pillows and sofa covers
- Clearance display stock (e.g. warehouse, display, floor stock etc.)
- Personalised items
- Orders for non-domestic use
- Return Shipping costs
DAMAGED ITEM
All Avant Garde Furniture and Lighting products are covered by Shipping/Transit damage insurance. The Item or component will be repaired or replaced as covered by the transit insurance. DAMAGE IN TRANSIT
All Avant Garde Furniture and Lighting products are covered by Shipping/Transit damage insurance. Items damaged in transit will be covered by shipping insurance. The Item or component will be repaired or replaced as covered by the transit insurance. If you have received your item damaged or components are missing a claim must be made via our support center. This claim must be made within 48 hours of receiving the order. Proof of purchase and photos of the condition of the received goods are required to be submitted with the claim. If this is not done within the 48 hour period of receiving, Avant Garde Furniture has the right to refuse your claim. Please note any Minor damage to items during delivery are covered under our warranty policy. We can provide spare parts and hardware to accommodate the minor repair excluding any labour costs. We can offer free parts and replacements only.
DAMAGE TO PACKAGING
Damage to packaging must be stated on the delivery note next to your signature. You must cross out “delivered in good condition” from the shipping carrier’s delivery note (if applicable) and write “damage to packaging”. If the item has been damaged you are required to contact our Sales Team with a description of the damage and photos attached. The support team will contact you within 48 hours. For peace of mind, we offer shipping insurance which covers any damage that may occur while in transit.
INCORRECT PURCHASE/ WILL NOT FIT
If it is found that the product ‘will not fit’ through/around any doors/stairwells etc. and the product is subsequently returned, you are responsible for all outward and return carriage costs and a 20% restocking and storage fee will apply. Store Credit applies only for Change of mind purchases.

We are confident that if you love our pieces as viewed on the Avant Garde website, then you will be delighted with them once you receive your order. If, after placing your order, you do have a change of mind or wish to cancel part of your order, please contact us immediately at concierge@avantgardefurniture.com.au or on 02 8528 8616.

DISCLAIMER
We make every effort to ensure that the product photos of our items accurately reflect the actual colour and finish of the item in person. However, due to the differences in monitor and device settings (brightness, contrast, saturation, etc) there may be a slight difference in colour, fabric or finish between what is shown on the site and the final product. Product may show variation in colour and finish from stock images due to difference in real lighting, conditions and positioning. There may be variations in hand finishes, and photographic lighting since lighting conditions during photo shoots or screen settings on devices can alter colour perception.
